Thanksgiving Community Dinner at St. Mary

Father David and Preoteasa Stephanie warmly invite you to join them in worship and fellowship at St. Mary’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner. This well attended event is a newer tradition for our parish that has served as a great alternative for those who are unable to join their families (like us), do not wish to cook (why make a mess?) or just looking for a good party (yeah…we are the fun crowd!)  And yes…watch FOOTBALL!

Father David and Preoteasa Stephanie will cook the sacrificial turkeys, as well as offer the basic sides—mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. All you need to do is RSVP for this event and post what side dish or dessert you plan to bring (NO NUTS!). This event gets bigger each year. Last year we had 40 guests so please plan accordingly.

  • 10:00 AM – Divine Liturgy
  • 12:00 PM – Opening Prayer and Reading of George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation (a Subu tradition) followed by the feast.

PLEASE DO NOT REPLY IF YOU ARE NOT COMING. Only post if you plan on attending, please. This open to public, but RSVP is required. Thanks!
